Australia Swapped battery terminals - now engine cranks but doesn't start...what have I broken?

Hello all,

First post for me.

I own a 2000 Camry and accidently put in a battery the wrong way.
I know I have blown the 100A alternator fuse.
I have power to the fuses in the engine bay but not in the cabin.

The start cranks but the engine doesn't run.
I also have no dash lights working (except for door open and battery light).
No A/C or central locking either.

What can I check to repair the car and get it running?

Any help appreciated so I can double check what the mechanic does.

Matt

Yeah I feel like the biggest idiot in the world

I should haven mentioned I shorted the two links together and no change. The start cranks but the engine won't run and no power as for my first message.

Am not sure what else to look at before concluding it is an ECU fault and going to the mechanics.

if memory serves me right, the part that isn't working is fuel related. you have a Gen3 I take it? if so, you can jump the leads on the diagnostic plug for a quick fix.....you'll need a haynes manual for me to walk you though this though. ONLY downside is if the accessory terminal is on....the fuel pump will be also....but it could save you a monster amount of $

Do gen 4s have fuses on the positive battery cable? If so check all those fuses.

Otherwise check the fuse box in the engine compartment (its on the side behind the battery) and the fuses inside the car.

DOnt they also have a fuseable link in the positive cable group. There is a small wire coming off of the positive battery terminal I think. If you blew that it wont start either if I rememebr right.
