The problem is, the DRL is disabled which good, but I lost the HIGH BEAM as well. Is there any way that I can keep my HIGH BEAm without the DRL. PLEASE HELP>

Why don't you just... turn it off? I never use my DRLs because I just turn them off... whats wrong with doing that?

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

It is recommended that inorder to save the life of the HID system it's best to disable the DRL. That's the reason

Don't Generation 5 camrys have an off switch? (I think that's what white3ch0c0late was getting at). When I test drove a 2003 Camry, there was a postion on the headlamp stalk for the DRL mode, so if you didn't want the DRL, you just turned the stalk to 'OFF'.

I thought the stalk settings were as follows: OFF-DRL-PARK-HEADLAMPS. I could be wrong though.

those recommendation is probably only applied to H4 bulb where the low and high in one bulb

for gen5, where low beam and high beam is on seperate bulb, there is really no point to disable DRL, especially DRL resides on high beam only, unless you put HID on your high beam.

No, you're absolutely right.

Absolutely. If you turn them off, its just as good as disabling them completely. I don't know who told you that you had to disable them to preserve the life of the HID system, but they were wrong. Just keep it in the OFF position, and then when you need your headlights, turn your headlights on. Thats what I do unless its really foggy out.
