Turbo Gurus QUICK!

i can get a stainless manifold for a 3sgte. I want it for my soon to come 5sfte turbo.

Question 1
Will the manifold of a 3sgte fit my 5sfe?

Question2
Which turbo?
ct26(using the normal 3sgte stuff)
or
a t25, t28, T4, T34R, T70 or others that would fit the Flange dimension: 70 x 80 (mm) Measured vertically and horizontally from center of screw wholes

Please be quick as my other buddy wants to buy this.

Thanks
Noofa

Yes.

I thought you had a gen 2 with 3S-FE.

The dimensions mean nothing to me. What style flange does the turbo manifold have?

88le, for pizza deliverys for extra cash(i have an office job)as the paint is bad, heaps of rattles on the inside, it the power steering pump is still going, but making lots of noise, to much work to get it up to standard (for turbo) but is a good beater or AtoBer.

I realy want to do a 3or5sfte, but i cant find a suitable car, so im getting parts that will fit on both - so that when the right car comes along, i will be ready, it being either a gen2 or 3.

So would i be better of just getting standard 3sgte manifolds, or shouls i go the whole deal with a not ct26 turbo?

Its up to you.

You can use a stock turbo manifold from a 3S-GTE and a CT26 from a MR2 Turbo.

And you still haven't answered my question about the manifold. What style flange does it have?

If you want to use a T series turbo, I suggest using a T3 or T3/T04 hybrid. I was using a T3 on my turbo 3S-FE.

Garrett T3, stock 3S-GTE manifold, and custom made adapter (made it myself):

^ I made the adapter the way it is, because my plan was to cut a hole into the side of it and weld on a pipe. So I can run a external wastegate, but that never happened.

careful with those style manifolds man... i do not know about who is making it... but ones that look like that on eBay by ssautochrome are just junk... there will be cracks and leaks in that thing if not right away, a few months after instal...

those things look nice, but just in terms of working well

The flange on it looks like a Toyota CT26 style flange.

Notice the 2 outlets. Thats for a CT26 twin entry turbo.

No.

I'm not sure what the differences are, but they are different.

Sorry to reactivate an old thread, but

I'm a noob and for that I'm sorry. I just had some quick questions that need to be clarified to noob level.

I just got an 88 Camry All Trac. It's a project.

What is the simplest way to add a turbo to this car?
What parts do I need to find?
What is it going to do for me?
Should I even bother?

I ask because it's 4WD, didn't know if it would be a drastically different process than any other Camry of the Gen2 era.

Thanks in advance, turbo peoples.
