ok my plan was to get a reverse glow kit, bulbs for everything else. but im going cheap lol. im thinking of just changing out the bulbs of everything. and just to refresh my memory since its been a while, it is: for 95 camry
4 194s for the gauges
4 74s for needles
5 74s for HVAC and AC controls
correct me if im wrong. also i want it all blue, but i dont want it crappy blue like how the stock green looks. i want crisp, distinct blue. can i use regular like xenon or blue halogens or must i use LEDs?
uhhh not sure if the HVAC/AC are ONLY 74's. I'm pretty sure they're different sizes. The needles are determined by the 4 194's, and there's only one 74 bulb that matters when it comes to your gauges.
As far as blue, if you get the regular bulbs, it's very likely that they'll yellow over time. On the other hand, if you get LED's, you get shadow areas since the light spread isn't so great. Since you're looking at getting the right color, I'd suggest you just go with the LEDs then.
ok i found out for colored needles i sand it down then paint it with colored paint. is it just me or does anyone else with a 95 camry think the needles DONT light up. it might not even be possible to put lights in there.
got a 92 camry and i had to paint my needles, but the only thing is i dont know if it will light up red cause my whole gauge is red even the needles. will try to take pics soon and let u see
there is light but its a bitch to get to. you gotta take the needles off becuase its under the middle bit wher eit spins around.
