h&r springs review and shop recommendation
h&r sport springs... theyre awesome. even drop from front to rear, 2-2.5 finger gap. just right for a daily driver. hitting bumps, it feels like stock. hitting corners, definitely does not feel like stock. however this might be due to the fact that i also have a sway bar. and i just got new tires too.
a few shop recommendations for socal 626 people:
bear frame and wheel
glendora, CA
-awesome place. did my springs and alignment in less than 2 hours. i dont know if you guys think that is long or short, im just not used to having someone do such good work in such little time on my car.
-these guys are very thorough with their alignments. camber/caster/toe, 40 bucks for the front, 80 for 4 wheel alignment. maybe even less depending on what car you have.
-they seem to know their shit.
-also have locations in la puente and rosemead, im sure theyre good shops too, but ive never been to them
rent-a-wheel
glendora, CA (right down the street from bear frame)
-good place for tires/rims. sell used stuff, and financing is available on everything they sell.
-got me a set of falken ziex 512s for 78 per tire, mounted and balanced. sounded like a pretty good deal to me so i went for it.
-good deals on rims and tires (if you pay it all off on the spot and dont do the monthly stuff)
-friendly people
i regret not starting off with suspension modding. lots of money wasted on... other stuff.
always start with suspension mods, kids! (and alignments right after!)
[will post updates if my struts blow]
