dome light not working

ok, perhaps a crazy question.... dome light doesnt go on when doors are opened. door sensors are good i think, because the light on the instrument cluster comes on to let one know that the door is ajar. the dome light comes on when you manually turn it on. any thoughts?

Its definitely not a fuse because otherwise, it wouldn't work at all... and neither would your map lights... and neither would your keyless entry.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

if the light turns on manually, then maybe its stuck on the off postition when ur putting it back??? Did u check to see if the switch is on the "door" position? I know this sounds elementary, but it's worht looking at before taking out any assembleys or the such....

the dome assy itself is bad, it has a separate ground when in the on position versus the dome position, replace the whole assy.

i'll have to check it from each angle described. as to the position of the switch, i hadn't noticed where that switch was. i'll have to check tomorrow when the ol' lady returns the car to me.

im pretty sure those are grounded to the roof by screws. pop off the cover, and make sure all the screws are tight.
