LED turn signal WTF?

I put these amber leds in my front turners and the SOBs went nuts. Going on and off extremely fast. I had some blue leds lying around in my garage so slapped those on to see iff that would chill them out. It didn't. Now the damn things were going so fast it was like a friggin' humming bird flapping it's wings. Yeah! That f_ing fast. Please help me on this.

the diffference in volts/watts makes your car think that the one of the bulbs between the front and the rear is busted...doo search.

to fix it you can either plug in the regualr incandescents or do something to the bulb...i forget what...search for that

need resistors.

the whole turn single is like a stupid series+parallel set up, if the resistance of all ya bulbs is wrong it blinks way to fast or slow.

You need to install some resistors in series with the LEDs. LED have much less resistance than incandecent bulbs causing the faster flash. It's like when you have one burt turn signal and the thing flashes twice as fast. However, the resistance is a lot lower now, so it flashes much faster.

How much current do all the LEDs need. This is important so you can choose a resistor with the proper power handling so that it doesn't burn. Also you will need a resistor with the proper resistance depending on the required current.

Resistors vary in appearance, size, and price. It can vary from 50c for a pack of 10, 89c for pack of two, or $3.50 for one depending on the type.

Sorry, no info. The bulbs are home in Montana and I'm in Wyoming for my Grandparent's 50th anniversary.

Here is what I used. These will cure the problem and they dissipate heat well.
