The crank pulley is the main pulley on the end of the crank that drives the accessories -- alternator, water pump, and air conditioning compressor.

A lightweight crank pulley that is under-driven to release more power in unsprung weight from the engine. It results in an under-drive of around 25%, which frees up power.
There are several cars of various different makes that have run lighter/under-driven pulleys for years without any problems with the engine, transmission, etc.

if the pulley is underdriving? the alternator, water pump and a/c compressor...it would weaken all three things correct?

what about any extra wear and tear that the pulley may cause?

I'm gonna wait and see how the results are for everyone before i dive in and get one, just a small question, whats the difficulty of installing the pulley?

and also is this for all years of the 1mz-fe? since i believe the 1mz-fe in the 97^ models were different?

Thanks
