3rd Generation Possibe??Feed pipe through catalytic con to "Look" legal?

Has anyone ever heard or done this. Run a pipe straight through the catalytic converter to give the affect of a straight cat wile still having the apperence of a legal cat attacthed to the car?

Just gut the cat and you'll get the same result.
However, a good mechanic/inspecter will notice that right away (noise, smell)

My asking was to go the cheaper route then fixing the current one. One one end of the cat the flange has broken and needs to be replaced. Was going for the kill two birds with one stone.

Oh well, back to looking for a place to put in a universal cat cheap.

I put a test pipe on my 240SX (KA24DE 2.4L 4cylinder). I liked it but it was SUPER loud. It didn't smell at all either with 180k miles.

My Camry with stock cat and 90k miles smells like rotten eggs sometimes out the exhaust now... I can just immagine when I get my test pipe on here
