4th Generation Tail Light Fuse Blows

Hi.

Searched the threads but couldn't find an answer.

Got a 2001 XLE and the tail light fuse blows. Tried changing the 10A to a 15A and it still blows, so can't be an abnormal light buld load.

Anyone know where I might check for a fault?

Do the wires to the trunk lid lights break? Or is it something related to the daytime running lights?

[edit to add info] Oh yeah, when the fuse is changed, the tail lights work for a while. Seems it could be a wire jiggling, or change over from running to headlights, that pops the fuse. Think there is an ambient light sensor that turns on the headlights if you forget to.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Yeah, good advice, I'll stick with the 10A now that I know it isn't a faulty bulb.

Check out the wiring in the loom by the trunk hinge on the driver's side. This is constantly flexing with all the opening and closing of the trunk and causes the wires/insullation to break. This is a known problem area on Camrys. Peel back the loom and look for wires that have their insulation worn through and may be touching each other and causing the problem. The fix is usually just some electrical tape.
