Gen5 Corrosion paint

My 2004 Camry looks like the body is corroding, if I look closely at the paint of the body I see dots that looks like rust, is there anything I could buy to remove it and help prevent it?

My car had a small spot and dealer would not do anything about it. I have been calling all kinds of people and they will do nothing at all. Said it has to be a hole before its covered. They tell me it didn't come from the factory like that. I work there and you would not believe all the cars that get touched up.

the specs of rust can actually be removed. it is basically ferrous contaminants lodged into your paint. Using a simple product liek Mothers Clay Bar can remove bonded contaminants to the paint. First wash the car as you normally would. Then use the clay bar with the spray that comes with it. After claying the entire car, the paint should feel as smooth as glass. This is what the paint is supposed to feel like. After this step, be sure to add a nice coat of wax to the paint to protect it from furthur rust.

if you have any more questions pm me.

Very good suggestion, would i have to really rub it in hard to remove it? cause i did try Turtle wax Compound and it did work a little but my arm got tired and was too hot to do that then wax, I guess i get these kind of surprise on my car when I go on vacation and then come back. Oh yeah and dam those Birds, I got Poop on my car withing hours after i waxed it lol.

no DO NOT rub the clay hard on the paint. the detail spray that comes with the bar of clay lubricates the surface. you just have to glide the clay over the paint in order for it to "cling on" and remove any surface contaminants. Just work a small section at each time wiping it clean with preferably a clean microfibre cloth. I would suggest cutting the clay up into two or even three pieces incase you drop it on the ground because once you drop it, throw it away. otherwise the pieces of sand picked up by the clay will scratch and mar the paint badly.

If you live near a railroad, there can be more of these metal particles that get stuck to your paint and start a tiny little rust spot. New cars will have it especially because they are shipping by trains across the country i believe.

Yeah i know exactly what you mean. After spending hours detailing the car, a bird comes and drops a bomb...sometimes several. So always make sure theres a coat of wax to protect from bird bombs as they are very acidic and can eat/etch right through the clearcoat. Clean it off ASAP!

The place i screwed my Amp Ground wire to the frame is rusting, because the hole goes to the outside underneath the car.
