4th Generation Tokico Hp Or Kyb Gr-2 Shocks ????

Hi..

I have a 1998 Camry V6.. I already bought H&R Lowering Springs, but i want to complete the suspension upgrade by buying some nice performance shocks..

I've seen many Gen. 4 Camry owners buy Tokico HP Shocks or KYB GR-2 shocks..

Which ones are the best, better ride quality, etc...??

Thanks for the help..

Tokico's are more stiffer than KYB's...but its always personel preference on your ride that has to be the decision factor.

I'd go with Tokico. Much better than the KYB GR-2's. The KYB's are cheaper..but the tokicos will last longer.

I read a post from someone who had H&R Springs with Tokico's and front was too low... Do KYB's drop less..??

Streets in my country are not the best in the world so, considering that, still Tokico's or KYB for smoother ride and less drop..???

Struts does not affect the drop rate.

it is the springs.
so if u get a spring that drops by 1.5 and the other drops by 1.7, the 1.7 spring will make ur car lower, does not matter if it is tokico or kyb

hope that helps

Is this true, the Tokicos last longer? I thinking of getting either the Tokicos or KYBs and H&R springs, but I don't want a very stiff ride. If the Tokicos last longer, than it's probably worth the $90 difference. What do you guys think?

they last the same as long as the drop isn't extreme

if the drop s extreme, then go with tokico, since the kyb's weren't designed for such a drop, and that's why ppl say they don't last as long

Got my Tokicos a year ago and they are great!, wished I would have changed the springs but I was too cheap to do it.

As for the ride, they are a bit harder than OEM. They feel a lot better, specially when driving on the freeway.
