You try to the start the engine, and it starts fine. However, after a few seconds of running, the engine stops. When you try to start the engine again, it quickly starts and seems to run fine, but then it shuts down again. This type of problem usually happens without warning. Probable Causes: 1. The electric fuel pump shuts down after start-up. 2. There is a problem in the computerized engine control circuit. 3. The ignition switch is bad.
Yeah, what was the short? Happened to me, but in may case, the Engine Temp Sensor failed telling the ECU that the Engine is overheating. The indicator was the Check Engine Light (CEL). After it has cooled down, it will re-start and shut down after a few seconds.
So, $140 later, I am ok. Still not a bad deal, I escaped towing charges. I was able to get to the shop to be repaired, limping all the way, with a foot on the gas and a foot on the brake.
i disconnected sum used wires from my headunit, im guessin the wires were conflicting wit my car components. Im still not sure, but i know now i wont put the wires back in
But thankz for ur input guys....
