I just installed some new rims and tires and when i changed them, i found a huge hole in the black covering of the wheel well. what should i do with that to fix it up?
another thing is when i changed the rims and tires is that there is a whirring noise in the front driver's side now. i don't know if it was the hole or the Wheel bearing as whitechocolate suggested to me. I'm going to jack the car up and trying moving the wheel up and down? *(i searched)*
i now have a bigger fender gap now that i installed the wheels because the discount guy suggested i get 215/50/17 because i would rub if i get 225/50/17 or 215/55/17<~~that's what he said, dunno if its true. IS 300 Rims with Hankook Ventus HRII tires <~~~ good suggestion by the way those are VERY smooth when we had a flood the day i installed it. hardly any loss of stability or swerving while driving unlike my old tires =/
btw, there's a red dot on one of my tires, why is it there? i googled and i came up with light balancing or something?

the revving at the end is typically what you only hear while inside the car. i need to make another clip because the car is in a garage and the engine's really loud.

When you're looking for new tyres, you'll often see some coloured dots on the tyre sidewall, and bands of colour in the tread. These are all here for a reason, but it's more for the tyre fitter than for your benefit. The dots on the sidewall typically denote unformity and weight. It's impossible to manufacture a tyre which is perfectly balanced and perfectly manufactured in the belts. As a result, all tyres have a point on the tread which is lighter than the rest of the tyre - a thin spot if you like. It's fractional - you'd never notice it unless you used tyre manufacturing equipment to find it, but its there. When the tyre is manufactured, this point is found and a coloured dot is put on the sidewall of the tyre corresponding to the light spot. Typically this is a yellow dot (although some manufacturers use different colours just to confuse us) and is known as the weight mark. Typically the yellow dot should end up aligned to the valve stem on your wheel and tyre combo. This is because you can help minimize the amount of weight needed to balance the tyre and wheel combo by mounting the tire so that its light point is matched up with the wheel's heavy balance point. Every wheel has a valve stem which cannot be moved so that is considered to be the heavy balance point for the wheel.

I like the sound of the exhaust. I was thinking of getting that TRD exhaust system eventually for my '98 Camry XLE V6 since it seems that's the only one that will fit it, but if its the same thing as the Borla, I'll just get a Borla then if they got an exhaust that will fit. I dun want anything too loud, just a good deep bass sound that won't give me a headache.
btw, where did ya get your Borla exhaust and do they make one for my year and model? Or am I just stuck with getting the TRD Exhaust system @__@
lol, my friend leesaunce tells me that it should've sounded deeper because i used a digicam to record the sound instead of a vid recorder. i'll make another one. only with revs this time.

The exhaust sounds good. As for the dot it doesnt have to lined up with teh valve stem but it sometimes makes it easier to balance the tire without having to add as much weight to the wheel. As for the hole in the fender well we need a picture of it may make it easier. It very well could be something that is there and has always been there jsut never noticed it with the factory wheels.

i live in ohio and we eradicated e-checks. i was thinkin about removing my cat altogether, pre 70's cars dont have them and i dont see plumes of black smoke coming from those...about piping size i was thinkin 2.5 since 3" eliminates backflow altogether on n/a cars and can be counterproductive. tell me what you guys think.
