How do I install Camry Halo Projector headlights?
I do not know where to attach the wires that control the halo around the highbeam light.
Does anybody know how to do this in detail?
TN member Couture, installed halo headlights on his gen 4.5 camry so you might try PM'ing him or Pm'ing randomman84 who just finished his gen 4 to Gen4.5 Halo headlight conversion.
I think they have more extensive knowledge on wiring becasue they went through doing it.
This is Randomman84's DIY for the gen 4 to Gen4.5 Halo headlight conversion.
For the halos, you could splice them in with the parking light, so that they come on with the parking lights. Just make sure youdon't splice it in with the turn signal.
As for the 97-99 folks, you're pretty much SOL unless you want to do a Gen4 to 4.5 conversion on your front end. Either that or do a custom setup. But I don't even know how you'd go about doing that because those lights a reflector with glass diffuser and the high and low is the same reflector. Where as on the 00-01 the high uses a different reflector.
Very nice. I wish they had something like that for the gen3. The halos are around the high beams right? Get some night shots.
im not sure myself. the US camry & AUST camry are different, we use 3 bulbs in each headlight; the small light (parking light), normal driving light, High beam.
^^
they fit perfectly on my bumper even though ive got the 1998 camry. The clear corner lights were the stock lights i know that US got the orange bit on the side.
yeah ill post them up once i figure out how to hook the wires.
i found out something new for the Halo headlights. i was walking to the parking garage yesterday and i saw this white 00' camry with the halo headlights. this guy custom-fitted projectors into the low beam portion! i'll try to walk by that car again and take a snap-shot or two
