Car won't stop!

Ok so I'm still having a problem with the car idleing really rough and occasionally stalling. I've done a few more things to help the problem clean pcv valve, new plugs, air filter, another can of throttle body cleaner, all in vain. A big problem that seems very potentially dangerous is that when the car begins to idle real rough and low 250-300 rpm the brake pedal gets hard and the car is very hard to slow down to a stop. a couple times I've panic'd and put all my weight on the brake pedal with the car in nertral.
what the hell you guys? help me before I die.

Does it idle like that from the morning or after you've driven it for a while? Meanwhile, if your brakes take more force than normal it's because you have a low vaccum for the booster to work properly. At the minimum, check the timing and make sure it's at spec degrees.

yeah usually it happens when I first drive the car for the day. for the first 15 minutes or so the car seems very sluggish. having to litterally floor the gas pedal to barely get rolling and then after I am chugging I can ease up.

i have this wild idea that if you told us what kind of car (yes i know a camry) you drove, perhaps any mods you might have done, etc would help us get a picture of what's going on. I had an older car that had a similar problem but it broke down before i bothered taking a look at it.

Does the tranny make any noises during the first drive of the day? After the 15 minutes, your brakes work fine?

edit: I doubt you are getting any engine light or any other warning light, right. I want to blame either spark plug (unless it does idle bad once you are nice and hot) but then I'd blame the O2 sensor.

the transmission hasn't made any noise that would initally cause me concern. it shakes a bit in reverse but since I had the filter and gasket replaced as well as new ATF its a little better. but I stil reckon the tranny is nearing the end if its life. I'm hoping I get another year 6 months at least before I can look into rebuilding or ordering a JDM with a side of rice.
