Shaving after 8 years

Im considering shaving all but the yota logo on my camry, more so because my TRD emblem is chipped. Im only concerned that it would leave an imprint because of the age and milage of the car.
98 camry 135k miles.
I know i can wax it but i want to know if anyone has done it on this old of a car and if anyone has any suggestions
cheers
i tried a search but found nada

compound it, rinse it with a wet cloth, wipe it dry, polishing compound it, wash it, dry it and wax it. best way to do things, IMO.

all of the above 3 items may cost a bit of money but last a while.

Its a tough call... a guy I know did it on his '00 4Runner, and the tape residue pulled some paint with it. I did it on my '02 Camry and it came off without a hitch with dental floss and a little bit of goo gone. I knew a guy with a '96 Civic that did it to his with no problems to the paint. I guess its kinda unpredictable? Haha

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

I did my 99 w/o a problem. Like they said, floss it, goo gone it, rubbing compound it, wax it, then enjoy!

only the Emblem has peggs on the Gen4.

i debadged my 97 camry with only small problems.
You should really do it in HOT weather, leave the car in the sun for an hour and itll be a lot easier. Using adhesive removers like Goo Gone will help a lot too. What i did was i got the Goo Gone "sticker remover" and i just sortof pried it off. There was the outline of the letters and all. But rubbing compound a few times and then wax, you cant even tell anymore.
