I'm needing help again.. Well, help, advices, opinions, etc...
I'm concerned because all new ATF's are pink.. Every time I check ATF in my car, it comes out black.. Black as in damn black..
I took my car to replace the ATF by cleaning the entire system.. They pumped out all the old ATF and put in all new ATF but it still comes out black..
Why is this happening..?? Should I just replace the liquid as many times as necessary until it comes out pink all the time..??
I haven't experienced any actual problems with the Transmission but still makes me worry because, if they replaced the old ATF with new one (i know they did because i saw it myself) it still looks black..
I'm also concerned because maybe this could seriously harm my Transmission or give some trouble in the future...
The new fluid is mixing with the old fluid left in the transmission and making it dark.
Another drain and fill or fluid exchange in a few thousand kms (3000) may be worth it. Was the fluid they put in nice and pink? Some ATF's are dyed deep red too.

it means your tranny fluid is burned. change it. black fluid indicates over heating. when u flush it. smell it, if it smells burned and is black its not good. trust me i have pulled apart many transmittions with black fluid that shit stinks. smell i will never forget
basically what the others are saying....you need to go to a shop that has the trannyflush machines....it seems like your shop is only doing drain and fills
with the machine, they hook it up, and they pump new fluid through your tranny until clean fluid is coming out the other end too- that way you know you have 100% new fluid, including the bunch in your torque converter

OK.. I don't think my transmission is messed up.. How could I tell if it is..?? I don't feel any problems when changing gears and/or when I shift from "P" to "R" or "N" or "D", etc, etc....
Now, about the dark fluid, the one they were putting in was really pink, I saw it.. That means I would need to flush my transmission BIG TIME..
Is there like a DIY tranny flush that I could do @ home..?? Once more, my Camry is a 1998 V6...
