3rd Generation

I would get 225/40 18 tires. I've actually got a set of used rims if you would want to take a look at them. I just got a new set, this set of rims is like 3 months old and i'm just tryin to get rid of them for 400bux plus shipping ot u. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b3...4/HPIM1231.jpg

How does that make sense? As the number gets larger, the farther out the hub is from the center line, meaning the farther in the inner edge of the rim is gonna be towards the car . . . . if i'm not mistaken? lower offsets will just mean the rims stick out of the wheel wells and sides of the car more . . . .

you have to remember that the camrys are not so forgiving when it comes to wheel well space going outwards since we don't have fender flares in the rear that are like those in hte front, and many people have problems with rubbing on hte outside

but if it rubs your struts, you always have the option of running spacers, whereas your only option if you're rubbing on the outside is running thinner tires

Ahh, very true for the 3rd gen. Not a fan of spacers though since it usually calls for extended studs if it's too drastic but that's preference i guess. But also remember, offset numbers are not universal- they depend on the width of the rim as well. i have 18x7.5 with 40+ offset and they line up very nicely. not that 5mm diff is extremely noticeable.
