Spark plug question

I'm no expert when it comes to spark plugs but while i was checking my spark plugs i noticed one of them was cracked..

Now i know alot of people are gonna hate me when i say they are splitfire's,But does anyone know what would cause it to crack like that?

most likely the spark plug is defaultive.
thus, the intergrity of the unit was compromised and through the high heat, it just cracked.

IMHO, that is my theory.

Splitfire... hahhahahahah Anyways, for them to break like that, it only one of two things. Either A) They suck (always get Denso or NGK) or B) they are corroded from whatever is going on in your engine's cylinders. On a side note, being all black like that is not a good thing. The "perfect" color for a good engine with little to no problems with combustion should be a nice white dusting. Black is carbon build up. I don't have the spark chart near me but find one and compare. I'll post up a site if I can find one before I just quit searching

Yeah remind me never to buy splitfires again. Hmm where do they sell NGK plugs at there arent too many auto part stores around here besides a o'reileys and autozone both of which are 40 someodd miles away i'm gonna have to check sometime but for now i'm using the bosch(blah) sparkplugs that came with the car until i go get the new ones. If i tell my dad to get me some plugs on his way home from work i'm betting he'll get the crappy autolite platinum so which means i have to get them.

Autozone has Denso plugs and Napa has NGK plugs in my area. Check out their web sites or check out http://www.sparkplugs.com . You can get some wires if you're replacing the plugs also.

For Camry, the best plugs are Denso or NGK twin ground double platinum. Iridiums will work too, but they cost a lot more and not much difference in performance.

Yeah, the IK20's are what I use in my 5SFE. As for the spark plug chart, everyone should have a copy of it 'cuz it's the easiest way to know what's goin' on in your cylinders Meanwhile, Toyota engines are best served with Denso or NGK
