3rd Generation 3rd Gen Right Hand Drive Shaft Removel Issue -HELP!

Folks,

I've got a 96 3rd gen Camry that I'm attempting to remove the drive shaft from on the passenger's side (RH).

The shaft is supposed to slide out once you remove the bearing set screw and the retainer clip...

...of course, it's not proviving to be that easy at all. I can not get the bearing w/ intermediate shaft to come out.

How to hell do I get the bearing and shaft out of the rear motor mount?

Is there a tool or something I can purchase, etc???

Thanks,

Gerhard

You need to pry the axle out of the transmission.

Sometimes the bearing seizes to the mount. So if prying doesn't work, unbolt the rear engine mount from the block.

Well, I tried removing the engine mount... but I'm unable (or unsure) of how to get it out.

It looks like there are two parts... the bearing holder/engine side bracket and then the frame side mount.

It looks like the frame piece is a hydrolic bushing of some sort? It also looks like you'd need to get the engine side bracket over the unbolted frame side bushing...

...and I'm having a tough time figuring it out.

I did unbolt everything... the engine/driveshaft bracket from the engine and the frame bushing, but I can't figure out how to remove everything.

Can someone walk me though this?

Sorry to be a noob, but I don't want screw anything up in the process.
