Brakes!

I need to change my brakes I was wondering if it made a big difference to do it at the dealer as opposed to an outside shop? (i know the dealer will cost alot more but they will be using oem parts).

What do you guys do?

Doing it outside the dealership, you can get better aftermarket brakes, and they'll cost you less or just as much.

If you're changing your rotors, think about getting some Brembo blanks. I've gotten the best braking from them in both cars that I've had... and if you want to spend a little extra, then get slotted/cross-drilled rotors, but they're cost a lot more than the blanks.

As for brake pads, a lot of people seem to like Hawk HPS. Super Kaioken recently got Akebono Pro ACTpads for his '02 and he's very happy with them.

should i just get my rotors resurfaced? (i am at 25k mi)

Yeah, just resurface them. At 25k, they shouldn't be so worn that they need replacing. It'll cost you a lot less to resurface them.
