I believe it's the yellowtop. I don't think there's variations on the yellowtop. Why don't you just flip the battery around if the terminals were on the wrong side? I should imagine this would be the easiest fix.

Orange Top is the one you're looking for. The posts are oriented to fit Toyotas. Unfortunately, they're hard to find. As a matter of fact, not many ppl even know they exist (incl. vendors). Furthermore, they're not deep cycling.

If you're set on getting a deep cycling optima, like most ppl, you're gonna have to yank on your stock wires and hope they reach. Otherwise, you'll have to do what I did and replace your stock wires with longer ones.

Lastly, Optima batt. are shorter and require a tray/cover to raise them to the same level as stock so that you and secure it.

The model you want is D51R. The dimensions are almost perfect, I've measured. Plus the posts are in the right order and position.

Dimensions- L9.5in x W 5.1in x H 9in

I never knew they offered that configuration

Be careful though, the batt is ever so slightly lower in terms of performance and capacity. http://www.optimabatteries.com/publi...cal_specs.html

I've had the D34/78 for years.

I've gone through a couple different cars, but this battery has worked flawlessly for me since the mid 90's.

I'm expecting many more years of service from it.

Extending the stock wires is wicked easy, except getting to the starte wire can be a bit of a pain, until you figure out how to do it. Then its really easy!

o. i thought redtops are better for cranking power? which is the reason to get them...

where is a better place to get batteries?

i went to costco, parts source, canadian tire, wal-mart...

ended up getting an energizer @ wal-mart... 10yr warranty 3 yr road side assistance and 2yr free replacement...

hope 550CCA is good enough (been told should get one with 700CCA)

Dunno what you guys are talking about, but my D34/78 Yellowtop dropped into my '94 Camry without a hassle.
