Difference in gas mileage between LE and XLE (4 cylinder)
I am curious if there is a noticeable difference of gas mileage between LE and XLE (4 cylinder). As far as I guess, due to the large size of wheel, XLE might need more gas.
Actually, there is significant difference of gas mileage in Sienna (new model since 04) with no obvious reason, even if two models use same engine (V6).
I am wondering if this is the same in Camry (4 cylinder).
No its about the same. The wheels are actually the same size, except the XLE comes with a 1" larger rim. The tires on the XLE are smaller to compensate for the 1" increase in rim size, so the weight of the wheels isn't really all that much different. The difference in gas milage is so miniscule that you wouldn't even notice.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

No noticable differences in MPG!
Only thing in the summers if you have autoclimate control on the XLE, you will be using yoru a/c on higher setting thereby using up more gas!

there might be like a couple of miles difference on a full tank of gas. so small that it's hard to tell the diff unless it's on a close track and in the same conditions.
Incorrect. The 4cyl engine in both the LE and XLE is the 2AZ-FE. Same 157HP engine. In the V6 model of both trims, they both have the V6 1MZ-FE 197HP engine. There is no difference in horsepower.

I drove the I4 before buying my V6 Gen3. I'm not sure how you guys put up with the ball-less-ness of the I4, it killed me.
/me enjoys his 1MZ.
Comparisson between power differences of Gen3 I4 and V6 does not hold for current generation. Sure the current I4 isn't as powerful as the 1MZ but its quite a bit more spirited than the 5S-FE I4 of the Gen3 you refer to (I own one, I know how it is ). And if you look at the acceleration time difference between I4 and V6, the the 0-60 time between them has narrowed since Gen3
But that "ball-less-ness" translate to 34mpg Highway, and the way gas prices are these days, that's a compromise I would be willing to make. My V6 guzzles 25mpg, perhaps my next car should be a hybrid or I4 instead.
But in response to the original question by kthan, there may be a slightly lower mpg in the XLE I4 being that it is a little heavier than the LE I4 (XLE = 3241lbs / LE = 3164lbs on Toyota.com). But if you're looking into buying one, then I'd recommend going with the XLE if you have the funds for it. You'll get more bells and whistles such as auto climate control among other things that makes your life that much easier
just my $0.02

??? im not talking about the difference between trim models...between I4 and V6.
