OK, noob question. I know how coil overs work but how do coil over sleeves work? Is this eBay performance BS or the real deal?

Dropzone = ebay performance bs...

But if you want em, get em.

I've ridden on them on a Honda before.... they're stiff, bouncy, noisy and everything else you don't want... but they drop it.

sleeves are terrible... dangerous even. car will bounce worse than anything, wheel hop will be insane. worst invention ever.

/\ Never had a problem with wheel hop but it does bounce...

And I've heard of Arospeed coilovers breaking after a year or two of use. almost all these cheap sleeves are made of the same material.

I had HP Racing coilover sleeves (ebay specials for around 100 shipped) on my '91 Accord for 3 years with no problems besides SUPER stiff ride and clanking.

ive seen them bounce so much that the tires jump up when going around turns...NOT fun. buddy of mine had them on his SE-R, lasted about a week before he changed them back. They were terrible.

There's a Gen 3 Strut/Spring Guide posted on the Camry FAQ.

The best setup for quality would be Tokico & Eibach I guess.

If you want adjustable, and want sleeves... Ground Control is the only way to go. That's if they make them for gen 3s.

Otherwise see who makes full coilovers for your car.

Springs/Struts are going to be cheaper and with gen 3s there seemed to be a bigger drop range than the gen 4s
