Hey peeps, my friend has an integra, he got a new clutch, its like stage 5 or something. the guy he bought it from said it will give him atleast 25 extra HP... is it true, can preformance clutches give you more HP?? i dont see how, i thought all the give you is better feel of gear switching, or tighter feel.... i wanna buy a new clutch for my 5spd. i dont know if i should spend an extra $100 on a performance clutch... thanx guys

hehe... there is no way you can get any extra power from a stronger clutch...

Once everything is locked together, the only way for any power difference is if the clutch is slipping, which won't happen unless things are worn out (or too weak). Maybe what the guy meant was that it can handle an extra 25hp (like, before slipping or wearing out faster).

Its probably worth it to buy a high performance clutch for your car if you drive it hard, and would like the clutch to last longer and have a tighter feel. But they are more expensive, so weigh the costs vs. the benifits.
