Still getting horrible gas mileage

I have changed nearly everything on my car and it seems as if my gas mileage is going down. I do pretty much all stop and go driving. I have beengetting 13.7mpg. I drive a 1993 I-4 Camry. I have changed the fuel filter, air filter, rotors, pads, diff fluid, oil, filter, sparks, spark wires, O2 sensor etc. I have run out of ideas of what to do. Any ideas ?

Get a new engine? or a new car for that matter.

You could rub the engine block with a stick of butter maybe the greasy surface will improve gas flow.

Have you checked your fuel injectors?

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

Have it checked by the dealer, if you want to. Maybe the fuel injector are bad or a bad computer or some thing. Are you sure you are getting that mileage?

If the car is running rough at idle, I would check the engin timing. A timing belt that skip by 1 to 2 teeth would kill you MPG.

Check everything, all of the above are valid, check simple things yourself like tire pressures, alignment, etc...

Stop and go driving kills gas mileage. It wouldn't hurt to be easy on the gas pedal in these times where gas costs so much. Timing the lights and such wouldn't hurt - got to use as many tricks in the book as you can to conserve gasoline.

Do a compression test.

If you yeild bad results, do a leak-down test.

I would imagine the obvious has been checked such as the CEL being on. I would also check the engine temperature sensors and coolant temperature sensors. The incorrect value being fed in the computer will cause it to mix the air/fuel ratio incorrectly, causing bad gas mileage.

Lets see....'93 model is an OBD-1? Might be the cat (catalytic converter) is partially plugged, depending on the miles??

You sure you don't have a fuel leak? I don't believe those injectors are big enought to waste that much fuel.
