3rd Generation Stalling

I drive a 95 5SFE and its stalling now. I put gas in it the other day from a shaddy station and i think it had water in it. I'll be driving along with no problems and stop at a light and it will sit there with no problems then out of no where it starts to sputter and idel ruff. Anyone got any ideas on what to do?....

That gas might od been bad. or your fuel filter clouged up. Try changing that and check your MAS (Mass Air Flow) sensor. Its located on the intake tube rigth by the air filter housing and also check that your fuel pump is working.

^ He has a 5S-FE, which uses a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor.

Theres no MAF, MAS, AFM, whatever you wanna call it.

Disconnect the fuel line and pump with the fuel pump (key on) all the fuel out into a clear container and start there. If it was not doing it before the fill up...then that should tell you something. Do not worry about the filter yet. Get some good gas in it and see what it does. The IAC could be carboned up but start with the fuel since this is when you noticed it.

This is one area where Heet or some similar water absorbing additive actually does work. I would get a couple of cans of the stuff and pour botj cans in the tank and just drive it for a while. It may take care of the water, if that is the problem. If not, then you could try emptying the tank. Just my 2 cents.

Just give her gas as you slowly let the clutch out, and she won't stall.

Haha jk.

Yeah could be bad gas, contaminated with either water or sediment. After you get stuff figured out, a new fuel filter might be a great idea.
