yeah the people on these boards are enthusiast.........and are the best people to ask for help on any subject on the camry ranging from the different years. You might not be into "modding" but that dosent mean your not an enthusiast
i also bought my camry b/c of the history of the car and its dependability, but I also want my car to look nice and perform well which will require me to obtain knowledge about the car through this forum........
It's your car... do whatever you want to do with it.

OD switched off, even when not in 3rd results in major power loss/rpm drop.

call me crazy, but i bought a camry just for dependable, decent transportation. if i wanted a sports car i wouldnt have bought a camry
And if I wanted to pay a crap load of money, and then a crapload more money when things start going wrong, I would buy a sports car.
Modding a solid car like a camry (or pretty much any Toyota) is cool. Yea, they aren't sports cars. But enhancing the ride of your car, whether performance or looks or anything, doesn't mean they are stupid cause they are doing it to a camry.
