Steering column wear?
At 50K miles I began noticing a noise and front end vibration in turns with my 2003 Camry. It feels and sounds a bit like bad CV joints, but not typical in that it is exactly the same in right and left turns. My dealer says it is a problem with the steering column, a $550-odd dollar part plus almost the same in labor. It is not a drive train element so no warranty! It is too soon for a failure such as this. Anyone have a similar problem and successful in getting Toyota to fix on them?
