2nd Generation losing my mind

this last week my 87 camry started to intemitingly lose power than take off. usually with enough force to snap my neck.here's where it gets odd, i removed the tps plug and the problems go away.so thinking i had it licked i installed a new toyota tps pluged it in and viola, same thing. the timing checks out , the cap, wires, rotor and coil are new,and i'm perplexed.
all i can figure out is that whatever works in conjunction with the tps must be the problem. any ideas as to where to start would greatly appreciated.
thanks people.

2nd Generation re:losing my mind

Alright, here goes! I have just rescently (a week ago) experienced the same thing with my 91 4cyl which I'm thinking is identical to what you have.I changed my whole throttle body asssembly & reused the old tps & that cured my loss of power ailment. If you don't have access to a new or used throttle body, go buy yourself a can of throttle body cleaner & go nuts with a toothbrush & some rags. Making sure to clean out any & all passages followed by a new gasket which I just cut one out of some gasket paper.
