loose plug, where does it go (56k maybe)

theres a loose plug on my 3vz fe:

theres a wire loomed in the same tube with this sensor. this sensor is located very closeby the oil filter (the filter is just to the right of it).

the loose plug in question is circled on the bottom of the picture, and the wire for this plug looms in with the aforementioned sensor and goes off somewhere.

heres a closeup of the plug, pardon the blur:

so... any ideas what this might be? i looked around and couldnt find its mate anywhere. please save this lonely plug.

thx

that is the oil pressure switch.

the plug that goes to nothing is for an oil LEVEL sensor which only comes on the 3vz that is in the lexus es300... that is located on the oil pan on that 3vz. you dont have it, so dont worry, be happy.

Toyotas and most car manufacturers have this built in feature where if your car is low on oil, it will overheat to let you know or maybe it will even seize up to prevent you from driving anywhere unsafely. = P

it generally will be fine... you will know if you NEED to check your oil level regularly if you start to see low levels when you change the oil.

just check periodically.
