camry chassis codes

what years are what codes..

im under the impression that

gen3 = mcv10

gen4 00up is mcv20

solara mcv20 etc...


im trying to find out what the code is for the 97-99 camry here in the US and in japan..

put it this way its fairly important for an importer of mine.......

not sure about others

Chassis codes change with the engine also.... The main Camry ones are..

SV10/11 - Gen 1 1SC/2SC
SV21 - Gen 2 3SFE
VZV21 - Gen 2 2VZFE
SXV10 - Gen 3 5SFE
VCV10 - Gen 3 3VZFE
MCV10 - Gen 3 1MZFE
SXV20 - Gen 4 5SFE
MCV20 - Gen 4 1MZFE

And...dunno about the Gen 5's..Someone can fill me in on that!

EDIT - Found a site saying that the Gen 5 Camry codes are -

SXV30 - Gen 5 2AZFE
MCV30 - Gen 5 1MZFE

But, i dunno how "S"XV30 represents the 2AZFE...so dunno.

There are some other odd ones..and variations..but i think that is the main ones.
