3rd Generation Lowering car

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone had a fun & safe Labor Day. Anyway my question is this. My stock rims are 15 x 6 with tire size 205/65r/15. When it's time to replace the struts on my 95 Camry V6 LE I was thinking of putting on new springs at the same time. By keeping the stock wheels, will the fender and tires scrape if I buy Eibach springs which will lower the car 1 inch.

I do not want to buy bigger rims b/c I like the looks of the stock rims. Thanks all for your opinion.

Definately wont rub...Eibach's dont sag...and they're only a 1" drop. I am thinking about Intrax but I'm scared they'll sag.

with stock rims, any drop will be okay....only when you get aftermarket rims that are wider and with a different offset that you have to worry about rubbing

and sagging? potentially....yes....but it will take a number of years

if you want a lower drop and better quality than intrax, then go h&r....

and if you have a v6, then you have even more options - the 4banger eibachs will give you a lower drop than advertised, and so will the 4banger h&r springs

How much more of a drop do you get by using the 4 cylinder springs on a 6 cylinder? Also, will the springs last as long and will be still be safe?

The drop will cary, depending the rims you use.

Refer to the Camry FAQ and read the Strut/Springs Guide.

Oh, sorry. I didn't read what you said about wanting to put the 4 cyl. springs on a v6.

yes.

I am currently running the i4 eibachs on my v6 camry....I started out with the v6 springs, but was then unhappy with the drop, so then picked up some i4 springs and installed the fronts for (as terrastrife said) the extra 1/2 inch in the front- makes a subtle but important difference

but no trouble with bottoming out, though as terrastrife also said, the frame of the gen3 hangs a lot lower than you can see....you basically get the h&r type of drop with eibach quality springs
