I am thinking of ordering the factory subwoofer as an add on to my stock 2002 Camry LE radio/CD. I see it for sale at the factory parts houses, but I am wondering what is involved in installing. I am guessing the dash, or part of it, will need to come off, that a cable will need to be run to the trunk or undrer a seat. Does the radio pop out? Will I need to buy a special harness? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

i don't know much about the factory 2002 setup. is subwoofer a option? that sound so weird. i guess some old farts don't like there block shakers. but if it is a option there sould be a harness for it. that sound so weird to have just sub woofers as a option. install in never free. thats there money maker.

I think it's the self-powered one that sits on the rear deck in front of the third-mounted brake light. Many cars in the Lexus line have that. I think it'll be a bit tricky trying to mount something like that in the rear deck since it'll require fabricating the rear deck. As for the mounting brackets, I believe it'll be included.

I could be wrong in assuming what kind of woofer is. 8)
