99 Camry Intermittent Brake Warning Light

I have a 99 Camry LE 4. I had the brakes replaced not too very long ago (probably 15-20K). This past week, the brake warning light comes on for no apparent reason, then goes off. It never stays on more than 30 seconds, may do it a few times, then goes off and stays off. I live in Colorado, and as weird as this may sound, it seems to happen only when I'm climbing a steep hill or steep mountain pass. The emergency brake is full down, and the brake fluid is at normal level. I have always kind of freaked out when warning lights come on that have to do with something other than a burned out light or low windshield washer fluid. Should I be worried? Do I need to take the car in? Thanks in advance for suggestions ...

when you go up hill the fluid flows the the back and the float switch in the in the front. just add a little more fluid and you should be good.

The brake fluid level can be very deceiving. Top off the reservoir and the problem will go away.

you probably only need another finger or so more....but that much will make your light go on

Thanks, everyone ... if topping off the fluid doesn't do the trick, I'll report back.

Finally getting back to you all. Put in about a finger's worth of brake fluid and the light has stayed off since. Thanks!
