3rd Generation Blazing Hot...

I had done the wiring for the Amp/Front Component installs this past weekend, hence had to remove the front driverside wheel to lay the power wire through the firewall. So after coming back from work, just wanted to check the wheel lug nuts if they where tight, but wtf... could not touch them...they were so blazing hot. So immediately tried inspecting all the other wheels...the back were Ok..I could atleast feel them. But both the front side wheel lugs nuts were very hot...what do you think would be the reason for this. Why aren't the ones at the back so hot?

Also, completed 1 of the Big 3 (Batt Neg to Chassis) with a 4 gauge, after which the Tachometer is idling lesser (abt 800) than normal (1K). I hope its not a problem...but curious enough to know the reason here too...is it coz its getting more AMPs

brakes get hot when you use them..heat will transfer from the rotors to the wheel and to the lugs... anyway isnt 800rpm normal idle?

The front gets hotter because the front brakes work harder to stop your car...and on most Camry's the rear brakes are drum brakes which I believe cause a little less friction. When you stop your car the weight is transferred to the front of the car. As for your idle....It's supposed to idle at 800 rpms...if its anything higher something is probably wrong.

Li9ke veryone else has said it is normal for the brakes to get hot and then the heat will transfer to the wahtever is touching them. THey will normally stay hot for a while after you drvie it. the rear you will get some heat build up but not quite as much normally.

V6LE_CAMRY, If its the lug nuts overtightened, only the driver side wheel should be hot, why is the passenger side act the same way
