So i am planning on opening the clear corners and painting the chrome black to match the headlights but i need some advice.
I have thought about clearing the corners like the gen 3 headlamps and putting in big led lights. What do you all think. I know the LED bulbs arent as bright but i think if I clear the lense it will help. I will prolly check out what it looks like with bulbs first to see. Need to know if this has been done b4 and what you all think I should do. I really like the idea of clearing the lenses but Im not sure how it would come out. Let me know!
i also bought those kinda headlights for my camry, and its black. so i might paint the corner lights as well
but damn!! why is it taking so long....has been more than 4wks now and still no sign of the headlights (from USA to sydney australia via ground shipping)
nah, the seller sent it via USPS ground shipping. so there was no TRACKING CODE. im also still waiting for my Grill. i think its abit slower coz what happened after the Hurricane.
I sold a poster to a person in Austrailia once on eBay. It took about 6 weeks before he received it since he wanted the cheapest shipping method. I'm guessing it went by boat since it took that long. In contrast, I sent some cards to a buyer in Belgium and it took 3 days via air mail.
If you painted the chrome black, i think the lights inside might be harder to see since it has nothing to reflect off of, unless you can find a really bright LED.
I have been in your shoes. Just yesterday I tried to take apart my front housing on my gen 4 and totally melted my lense. you have to be extra careful when it comes to melting the headlight. And to answer you LED question, DONT go with any leds from aftermarket companies. Whenever they make these, they dont use the proper resistors. Thus causing to pull to much current thru the system and blow your fuses( from experience). In order to have led side marker lights, you have to make your own, like me. pm me for more info
im gonna take my old corner lamps and play with them first to find the right temp. i have the black velvet 1200 degree black paint coming. I wanted somethin i could hit my exhaust with too.
I just happened to come across these corner lights on ebay. I am not sure if you have painted or not, or if you want to spend the $$$. But in case it doesn't turn out.......
yes, but my father wrecked the car about 6 months afterward and i went back to oem afterward because i could not find the lights on ebay or anywhere else for that matter. The lights are fine but the right light mounting bracket was destroyed. i guess i could have fixed it but i was so mad and disappointed all my work went to the shi**er that i left it stock.
