4th Generation O2 sensor problem

I got and installed the RippMods headers, downpipe, and high-flow catalytic converter for my Toyota Camry 00' 5SFE (4cyl AT) a few months ago. Naturally my Check-Engine light came on and I resetted the ECU as usual. A few hours later it comes on again. I kept repeating this solution until I gave up.

Recently I went to a tech/mechanic shop to have it read. They said that I must replace my high-flow cat-converter...which does sound right. Whenever I start-up my car, it smells like I'm running rich on fuel. And whenever I accelerate, air seems to be leaking out of the cat-converter.

I know that I must weld a bung for the 2nd O2 sensor (located on the cat). One question, what's a bung? I looked down there and the O2 sensor on the cat looks burned up, and when O2 sensors go bad, cat converters go bad too. Btw, the O2 sensor on my downpipe looks fine. I had the O2 sensor (on the cat) fit in, with its wires cut and sealed (did i do the right thing? ).

Anyone know how to deal with the O2 bung? I SEARCHED for hours in here, and couldn't get a straight answer. I would appreciate any help from the ppl that did the RippMods group buy earlier this year. Thanks

Not exactly sure what you did here but if the HO2S is disconnected or the wires cut, then you'll continually get an rear HO2S code as well as a P0420. An O2s bung is where you would thread the O2 sensor on.
