Hey man, I've be struggling w/ the same problem. There were a couple of threads about interior lighting changes that mention how to do it but I don't have a link. I believe u need to take out the center console, and the shifter lever in order to get that DRN2L plate off. PM me if u find anything and i'll do the same.

Take out the bolts in your center console box, remove the two screws (one is showing in the pic) and remove the rear portion of your center console. Now you can reach up under the drivers side of the forward portion of the center console that remains and get at the bulb. I still ain't easy, but it beats taking the front of the center console out to access that shift indicator plate attachment.

There are bolts holding that piece down. If you can work w/ the thing sliding up and down the shifter that'd be the best option. My next option would be to remove the top of the shifter w/ the buttons, But I do not know the correct way to remove it.
