Coilovers??

what exactly are coilovers?? are they springs and struts in one unit?? or springs and shocks in one unit?? can someone explain to me what they are?? :-?

what lankanprince is true, but there is more to it. it depends on which type of application. there are 2 types. one is a fake type, where that there is only a coil with spring. with these you are able to change in the type of strut. but in reality it is a rough/ bouncy ride.ie- gound control. the second is a REAL coilover system, meaning that the strut, coil and spring all in one. these are the kits that cost over 1k. ie- JIC-Magic.
