Fuel filler door hinge

1999 Camry LE. How do I remove the hinge pin on the fuel filler door to replace the spring? I have tried to pull it free with pliers. I have tapped on it using a nail inserted into the hinge and a hammer. I have sprayed it with silicon spray to loosen it. None of these have worked. Ideas?

Thanks, Ron
