Will the Toyota V6 1MZ-FE engine fit inside a RAV4? Has anyone done this swap into a Camry? Since the engine bay is rather the same. I know the 5SFE engine came in the Camry, so did the 3SFE engine. Which insidently comes in the 97 RAV4. I'm aso thinking twin turbo. Can anyone post any links regardiing this swap?
search, it might fit rember the rav4 is ALOT smaller frame than the camry, so twin turbo your looking at a REAL tight fit, it's a tight fit twin turboing the camry.
but again check the mr2 boards also they have swapped s/c 1mz's in.

which way are you swapping now? RAV4 -> Camry or Camry -> RAV4?
Neither, Just going to the salvage yard, getting a 1MZ-FE and dropping it into a RAV4 1997. 1MZ-FE came in a varaiaty of Toyota like for example; 4Runner, Lexus, Tacoma, Camry. I guess the closes is the Camry.

The 1MZ was not in the 4Runner or Tacoma ever. It was in the Highlander and Sienna though...
