Gen5 G-5 Camry OE Tires

Hey: anyone have a very good OE tire for G-5 Camry? Winter in the Northeast? It seems like a lawyer in snow, (slips, slides, and rarely stays straight) I found the OE Goodyear 'intrgrety's were trash that only lasted 20K, and outright dangerous in snow, and rain. Goodrich Traction T/A's good but seem to wear fast. My passenger side Fr. has worn down to 3/32nds in the center in only 13K miles, Driver side Fr 5+/32nds., they were supposed to be 60K tires!! Anyone elses fronts wearing that fast? Is it me or the car? I don't push the car too hard, I take it easy usually. I heard the Goodyear Assurances are good?!..but? I guess I'm asking if anyone knows a good allseason decent performance tire that lasts...Remember "it seems like a lot of miles when the tires are crappy", how about quality per mile?

bridgestone potenzas- the re910s, not the 92s that everybody bitches about

the 910s last for years, are decent on dry, and are amazing in wet- almost the same as in dry

but if you have snow....seriously considering getting some snow tires...the worst snow tires out there will perform better than the best all-seasons.....and just forget about "performance all seasons", they're useless in snow and will more than likely get you killed

Gen5

Michelin hydroedges on my Camry 03 stock 15 inch rims for me they work great in dry and wet. A bit hefty on the price tag but I would say its well worth the money. I have yet to lose traction on a rainy day dispite me braking like a madman

OE turanzas are different from shop ones ya know.

also if ya gonna run turanza's run the ER52's (i think they are)

i have Nankang XR/TS 611's in 215/60/15. cant get any cheaper then these. they have absolutley awesome grip in both wet and dry (compared to potenza/ggrid 2's or falken ziex512s) but the absolutel crappiest sidewall construction and very bad block squirm. those last to triats take a while to get used to after coming from something with better control.

okay so time has come and I need to replace my tires

I have Bridgestone Turanza ER30's on my car now, I just saw how much they cost to replace $145 each from TireRack.com

I love these tires and the way they ride but there is no way that I am paying $618.02 for a new set

I would if I could afford them, so I do not drive in snow and I drive fast on dry and wet

what kind of tires would you recomend? something a lil cheaper but that handles great on dry

I was looking at the Bridgestone Potenza G 009 Blackwall

stock size 215/60/16

I rarely go over 100mph also

Same here, but they are just for summer. For Toronto snowy winter, I use Prirelli Winter tires.

I have some goodyear viva touring from Walmart. 80,000 mile warranty. Very quiet and I haven't had any trouble out of them.

The ContiExtrememeContacts are awesome tires. They are great in wet and dry. They last pretty long too: I have over 31,000 miles on mine and they still have tread left. For a tire that performs this well, that's some awesome treadlife. My Michelin Pilot XGT H4s weren't this sticky and barely lasted 28,000 miles.
