4th Generation Something weird with my suspension

Ok car was fine for 5k since i bought it, rite now it has 146,000km, but it developed some strange problem. Everytime i go over bumps or potholes at higher speeds, there is this rubbing sound comes from the back, like a plastic rubs on the pavement or tire rubs against body.
I had the car on the lift and found nothing hanging, or loose plastic guards under fenders,
everything looks perfect.
Any suggestions on this problem, could it be suspension related?

Thnx for any help ppl

if the hear the sound from the back of your car.
it could be your sway bar bushing, try to relube it or inspect whether the bushing is torn somewhere.

Why would the sway bar bushings create a rubbing sound? Check the stuts or springs being weak letting the tires rub on the inner fender wells.

guess u have not been on TN for too long.

Gen4 brusing does cause the rear to squeak.
some ppl used nautical grease and that stop it. search and u will find instuction to possible diagnosis.

that said, suspension (struts to struts mounts) can cause squeaks.

I would put my $$ on the brushing and / or strut mounts

have fun

Guess you ought to read the orginal post! He did not say squeak or squeal ! He said rubbing sound, I would presume that he would know the difference between a squeak/squeal and a rubbing sound! I stand by my reply with the info I was given.

have you considered that the wheel bearing is starting to show signs of wear? perhaps a suggestion to go along with the others. also, can you see any rub spots at all?

I don't see any rub spots at all, also I checked rear and front endlinks, they look fine. Is it normal for gen4 suspension to be too bouncy? Like comparing to my old 95 altima it's more bouncy, but still car handles great in turns and during quick lane changes, and it's nice and quiet.

Is your suspension modified in any way? When was the last time you replaced your struts?

Hi Guys - got additional questions on weird sounds from my Camry - when it goes over uneven road surfaces - tend to create "karuk karuk" sound like absorber or spring hitting each other - but my mechanic checked and everything is ok - but he also mentioned that my front left boot cover is already loose and need to be replaced and might be the problem at hand.

When i get back to even roads it's very quiet like it should - I read in this post and some other posts in TN that the sway bar or bushing might need greasing - I'm not really into cars so if anybody got any photos to show where these parts are then I could get somebody to check these areas for my next trip to the workshop

Cheers!

Can somebody recommend a good place to get Polyurethane swaybar bushings for a Gen3 I4. Most of the Internet stores only have them for 97 and above. I dont want to go for the normal rubber ones.

Gary
as Original poster stated, "tire rubbing on body" sound
the brushing has rubber compound, so does the strut mounts...
it would cause that "Rubbing sound" aka squeaking sound.

if you do a search, you will find out that gen 4 brushing have caused problems with squeaking/rubbing sound.. and ppl have fixed that

yeah, so i did use a different terminology.
geee....

that would most likely be the strut mount or bump stopper.

The boot cover does not do anything except protect the struts from dust and dirt
