i bought a 94 SE V6 coupe recently to replace my 95 XLE V6. i have a cold air intake and exaust on the 94 that came from the 95. the 94 is not as fast as my 95 however. its my understanding that the engines are the same except for the radiator. the 94 i think is a bit heavier cuz of the 2 door and the sunroof, and they both have the same millage but are there any other differances between the 2 years and models that would make such a big differance in performance.

wear and tear/maintenence.

my 11 year old 3vz-fe seems to still pull quite well according to how others' perform when ppl start talking.

although one thing that comes to mind would be vacuum leak. but to the original, do a tune up.

Shouldn't be that much different.
Maybe your other car had softer/worn suspension, that makes a car feel faster than a car with a stable footprint.

Get the engine checked out though to be on the safe side.

at least with the CA models, the stock i4 94's have 130 hp and the i4 95's have 125, because of higher emissions requirements.

so there might be that kind of a difference in the V6s as well.
