Shift solenoids

Ok this has been pissing me off. After swapping to a 5 speed my ECU keeps throwing codes for shift solenoid malfunctions. I put in some 15 ohm, 25 watt resistors and it did nothing. Finally I just pulled the noids out of my old auto and plugged them back in to the wiring harness. The codes are still there even though all three perfectly working solenoids are actually hooked up. What Can I do? I thought of buying a Manual ECU but then I thought about it and realized that wont work either because I cant plug in an auto harness into a smaller port on the 5 Speed ECU. I need to get rid of these codes. What should I try now?

Did you try resetting the ECU?

Yeah I used a code scanner to reset it. Do the grounding points on the resistors have to be a certain distance apart?
