Post Please Help w/ Fabrication of CAI.

Im thinking of frabricating a cold air intake for my still stock and newly inherited '95 Camry. So far i know two ways of frabricating a new CAI for this car: one is metal tubing and two ABS Pipes. do you guys have other methods or materials that you know off and want to share?

I just want to make my ride unique. Im 20, low on cash and is willing to learn to fabricate. I just need guidance. And some useful knowledge from veteran modders/tunners.

Is the ABS going to withstand all that heat under the car as posted in this website
http://www.se-r.net/engine/homemade_cai.html
Did this website give a good plan to folow?
because according to http://www.ppfahome.org/abs/faqabs.html abs pipes "performs in a wide range of temperatures, from -40°F to 180°F"

Help me frabricate a tubing for my ride and a fines selection for the filter.

Thanks for all the comments.

use whatever you can get cheaper.

get a good air filter <-- cheap ones deteriorate quicker when wet and perform worse (in both filtration and performance terms)

do not use aluminium <- rust

do not use rubber couplers <- they dry out and crack/tear too easy

buy the best clamps you can afford <- so they dont fall off.

even DIY, will take you to the "pretty expensive for what its worth" territory, but nothing compared to buying 2 pre made short ram intakes to make a cold air intake.

just get a K&N drop in replacement.
