Tint Windows and Remote Starter Question

i own a 99 Camry LE (Gen 4?) and the color of the car is Titanium Pearl something :? (not silver and not champaign color) I want to ask you guys about what kind of windows tint color will best fit my Camry. How much would it cost; how long will it take to put the tint on if I go to a dealer.

Also i want to get a remote starter installed. How does remote starter work?
Will it conflict with the alarm system?( I have the Toyota alarm system came with the camry)

Thanks in advance

I think smoke tint looks great on any car, no matter the color.

As for the auto start, www.autoloc.com has one.

you know in a case like that, trying to save a few bux by doing your own tint is risky if you hadnt done it before. i'd rather pay up the extra amt to a place that does it and has a gaurante that it wont bubble or anything like that or else they will re-do the window.

yeah, I agree with everybody else about the tint.....smoke looks good on almost all cars, but get it done at a shop, and don't get the cheaper kind...

I don't know where you're located, but it should cost somewhere around $150-200CDN for all the windows on your car (but front windshield) you'll have to talk to the shop about getting a deal, and if you get a remote starter installed at the same time, you can probably get it all in a decent deal....

and auto starters are electronic, and turn on your car almost as tho there is a key....and they should (not sure? probably tho....) have safety features such as if the gas/brake pedals are touched, the car willturn itself off, so its not actually driveable....

and it *shouldn't* affect your alarm system....should talk to the shop people about htat tho....

good luck, and I hope all this helped!

I live in the Guelph/Cambridge/Kitchener area, it's like an hour drive to TO. Is it illegal to tint the front window in Ontario? I'm a n00b at cars so I'm gonna get those things done in shop. Does anyone here knows a shop in my area or TO that do those two installations? How long would it take approximately to install those two things? I dun wanna take my car to TO knowing it would be in the shop for a day to get those things done, then I will get no ride home

Thanks again for answering my questions

I think it's illegal just about everywhere to tint or obstruct the windshield below a certain mark... most windshield's I have seen actually have the mark printed on it. That's why you see some people with tint across the top or windshield banners there...

Yeah, it is illegal to tint your windshield. Unless you don't drive your car on the road.

Umm...well, as the other guys said....it is technically legal, but usually cops aren't asses as long as you don't tint them that dark....

and it wouldn't take a day.....I'd say somewhere around 2 hours....maybe 3..... short enough that you could just go for a coffee break and take a short nap and then pick up your car....

and shops in TO....I'm not sure.... :-?
