4th Generation Convert From Acura....

This week I bought a 98 Camry V6 XLE dealer maintained White beauty car w/118k. Any suggestions? I used to own an Acura Legend 4dr 5spd. Now I drive a Camry and I like it a lot. Anyone know where I can download a repair manual for the G4? Thanks For everyone's input!

I was reading through the Camry FAQ and I didn't notice where a Manual for the Gen 4 was?? I noticed the Gen 3 but as for the Gen 4? Also, how hard is it to do the front struts on this car? My strut mounts are out.

^^ Front struts are easy enough, it's the rear ones that suck.

I also went from an Acura Legend to the Camry. In my opinion its a step down but my Camry is MUCH faster and a lot more fun.

go spend the $15 on a chiltons or haynes manual. its worth the small investment.

There is not a Helms or something like that? I can download something for free? (I know it sounds cheap. I had a 5 spd Legend and it was fast. I wish I had the five speed camry but this one just popped up for a good deal so I jumped on it.

There is no Helms manual but you can order a manual from Toyota thats a lot better than the chilton or haynes. Call your local Toyota dealer for more information, theres an 800 number you call to order it.

How much do they run? I wish mine was a 5 spd but it is the XLE edition.

so here is the average.... V6?? TRD SUPERCHARGER!!
hell, custom Turbo the thing!
But still, if you wanna build it up, gotta know what you wanna do. You can start small... Intake, strut bar, exhaust.... there is so much you can do. You could go all show, sound system, tint, body kit, rims... Just browse the forums i havnt been here for all that long, but this place is the BEST resource ive seen, hell, ive even added some myself.

But anyway, congrats on becoming a toyo owner!!

thanks there bro, Yep, i have the v6 but not much money to do anything major on the car (i.e. TRD Supercharger). I had some pioneer premier speakers I put in the fronts because they were blown and when I get money I plan on tinting the car and putting a system in. I had all these things in my Legend (it had a BHG) that I used to have, but I sold that and jumped on this opportunity to get a dealer maintaned car for just over dealer trade in. I am just a college student and the cost of college and tuition is so high that I can't hardly keep up. But thanks for the advice there man! Anyone still know how much a dealer manual for the car is?
